This is one of three drop-in Saturday Sings in Nanaimo this fall: Sept. 7, Oct. 19, and Nov. 9. (in addition to our regular Monday afternoons at Sing Again Community Choir)
This Saturday, October 19, drop in and join the circle to sing songs of Gratitude and Water.
Here are a few we’ll sing: Thank You by Max Ribner, Thank you by Barbara McAfee, and Thank You For This Day by Karen Drucker. Also Rain Song by Mark Growden, The River by Coco Love Alcorn, and Humbly by Laurence Cole. There is always room for improvisation/ play, simple actions and body percussion, and of course, a sea shanty or two!
All voices are welcome; no experience necessary, just a love of song! This is a non-judgemental space to express yourself and connect in a community song circle.
The cost is $20 to drop in (no one turned away for lack of funds) and is includedfor those who have paid for the season of Sing Again community choir (which also remains open to drop in).
Come experience the joy and connection of singing in harmony, imperfectly!
Enjoy a cup of ginger tea and meet new people who love to sing!
Sing Again is a proud member of the Ubuntu Choir Network, which shares the belief that singing is a universal human birthright. All voices are welcome, regardless of age, experience or perceived talent. This is community singing!
